俗話說:“歲寒知松柏, 患難見真情。”1962年9月,在黨的 八屆十中全會上,康

生一夥利用《劉志丹》小說問題誣衊習書記反 黨。一時,習書記面臨“牆倒眾人

推”的險惡處境。當時,全會 小組開始所謂的揭發批判,趙伯平在西北小組會上

始終默不作聲。 既不揭。又不批,也不表態。當時西北小組組長、西北局主要負

責 人以及其他人多次動員趙伯平發言,他一直保持沉默,不為臨禍而 改節。秘書

好心地勸他表個態,不料他嚴肅地說:“不表態就是表態。 我堅信仲勳是個好同

志!”趙伯平進而強調說:“在大是大非上迎 合某些人的需要,說違心話、做違心

事是卑鄙行為。這樣做會丟掉 馬克思主義的靈魂。丟掉共產黨人的黨性!”

在是非顛倒、極左風暴肆虐之際,趙伯平堅持真理,不怕被 軍連。具正做到了

“荀利國家生死以,豈因禍福避趨之”, 其鋒鋒 鐵骨令人肅然起敬。

西安城牆是我國保存最完整的一座古城牆,是聞名世界的人文 景觀之一。但

關於保存這座明代古城牆的內幕卻鮮有人知。

1958年。在“大躍進”的高潮中,陝西省有些人頭腦發熱。把 西安古城牆

視為封建遺堡,主張拆除。此事反映到省委常委會上。 引起很大爭議。趙伯平力排

眾議。主張保護,反對拆除。但他深知, 主張保護的意見難以決定古城牆的命運。

於是,他以個人名義上書 國務院秘書長習仲勳,請求支持。同時,他向習書記轉呈

了陝西著 名肋史學家武伯倫先生一封同樣請求保護西安古城牆的信件。

習書記接到他們的信以後。態度也很明確:“不能拆,要保留。” 但在如何保

留的問題上。習書記並沒有採取簡單回覆趙伯平來信的 方式,而是深謀遠慮、用心

良苦地建議把西安古城牆列為首批國家 重點文物保護單位,用法律的手段保護西

安古城牆,這樣一來使得 西安古城牆徹底擺脫了文化虛無主義的侵害,得以法定

永存。

如今,雄偉壯觀的西安古城牆依然完整無損地薔立著。向世界 殘不看中華民

族悠久的歷史和燦爛的文化。試想,如果不是這樣
