Subtitle Edit (SE) 是一款免費但功能強大的影片字幕編輯軟體。當字幕與影片不同步時，您可用這款軟體輕易地調整字幕的起始時間。

Subtitle Edit 的主要功能如下：

產生/調整/同步/翻譯字幕；
SubRib、MicroDVD、Advanced Sub Station Alpha、Sub Station Alpha、D-Cinema、SAMI、YouTube 和 sbv 等 170 多種不同字幕格式之間的轉換；
超酷的聲音可視化工具 – 可顯示波形和頻譜圖；
影片播放器採用 DirectShow、VLC Media Player 或 MPlayer；
視覺同步/調整字幕 (起始/結束位置和速度)；
透過 Google translate 自動翻譯；
自 (沒有保護或解密的) DVD 抓取字幕：
匯入/文字辨識 (OCR) VobSub sub/idx 二進位字幕 (可使用 Tesseract)；
匯入/文字辨識藍光光碟 .sup 字幕檔 (可使用 Tesseract – 藍光 sup (Blu-ray sup) 字幕是根據 BDSup2Sub 的 Java 碼來讀取)；
可開啟嵌入 Matroska 檔 (如 mkv) 的字幕；
可開啟嵌入 mp4/mv4 檔的字幕 (文字、closed captions 字幕和 vobsub 字幕)；
可開啟/文字辨識嵌入 divx/avi 檔的 XSub 字幕；
可開啟/文字辨識嵌入 .ts (Transport Stream) 檔的 DVB 字幕；
可開啟/文字辨識嵌入 .m2ts (Transport Stream) 檔的藍光字幕；
可讀取和寫入 UTF-8 及其他 Unicode (萬國碼) 檔案和 ANSI (支援電腦所有語言/編碼！)
合併/分割字幕；
調整顯示時間；
一般錯誤修復精靈；
透過 Open Office 辭典/ NHunspell (有許多辭典可用) 來做拼字檢查；
重新編號；
打字機特效和卡拉 OK 特效；
歷史記錄/復原 (復原 = Ctrl + Z；取消復原 = Ctrl + Y)；
字幕比對；
多重尋找及取代；
合併短行/分割長行；
匯出為 PNG 圖片 (+bdn xml)、Adobe Encore FAB 圖片腳本、VobSub、Blu-ray sup、EBU stl、PAC 和純文字。
注意：程式安裝後為英文介面，請從功能表的 Options → Choose language… 的下拉式選單中選取「中文 (中華民國)」，即變成繁體中文介面。

Subtitle Edit (SE) is an editor for video subtitles – a subtitle editor. With SE you can easily adjust the start time of a subtitle if it is out of sync with the video. SE is written in C# and full source code is included.
